If you’re so obsessed with people seeing you as a unique human being, why do you make your living pretending to be someone you’re not? Any actor worth their salt knows that it’s their job to remove THEMSELVES from the character they’re portraying and temporarily become that character. A poster depicts the CHARACTER, not the actual person portraying them. For an actor to take personal offense at such a depiction shows that they have no understanding of their profession whatsoever, and have obviously gone into the profession for all the wrong reasons. Once the audience sees the actor rather than the character they’re portraying, they’ve completely failed at their job. So many of these hacks today are just concerned with being the center of attention rather than providing entertainment. Acting won’t ultimately help with such an obsession, but therapy might.
