I haven’t watched SNL for years it’s just another Woke disaster.
I never watched SNL in the earlier days because I worked early in morning therefore I couldn’t stay up late. After I retired, I watched it once just out of curiosity and it was not funny at all, not even a chuckle. I haven’t bothered since. I know a lot of great comedians were “born” out of SNL and went on to do great things. That chapter has been closed on SNL for a long time.
I couldn’t tell you a single person who is on SNL today. I stopped watching SNL, when Eddie Murphy left. That was a few years ago. LOL
9.3% of America calls themselves lgbtxyz. The rest don’t watch SNL. Advertisers better do the math.
In the late 1970s it was funny. By the mid-1990s it lost its relevance. After that it morphed into a democon mouthpiece, until it was simply a tired propaganda organ. For SNL the notion that comedy = humor/laughter and entertainment, is a lost concept.
The IQ’s running SNL can’t be too high. Do a show consistently insulting over half the population and then wonder why ratings fall. And if that’s not enough, look how they’ve ignored comedy gold. If you want political humor, the Dems are sliding it out in mass droves, and it’s being ignored. No, not too smart.
Idea Fatigue and they had Joe Biden and First son Hunter as fertile material to work with? How about America’s Sweetheart and perfect name that writes its own jokes, Adam Schiff? Then there is Maxine and also the pretty lady with the purple hair from Connecticut who is a fashionista. Less is better right? The appropriately named Dingle lady that can give age-appropriate makeup tips. And of course there is Kamala. Oh my, what a hoot Kamala is. And then there is I love myself Gavin. I would love to see how he had the family residence of the governors mansion decorated. Wall to wall mirrors. If the SNL writers cannot see the possibilities in the liberal politicians, they have no senses of humors. Period.
I used to watch it a lot, back in its first season (around 1975, or so)–not so much because I wanted to (for me it was boring)–but because all of my friends at the time wanted to watch it, on a Saturday night–and couldn’t seem to think of anything else more exciting to do…Anyway, fast forward 50 years, and I now realize that all of my friends, then–are Democrats and liberals, now (and, needless to say–I don’t hang out with them on Saturday nights, anymore–to watch some worthless comedy!) SNL always had an edge to it, that was a little bit sickening, a little bit immoral, a little bit unsettling–but now I know why: it was an early propaganda platform for liberals. And it only got worse. Today, I’d much rather watch a great movie like Midway, or Reagan (something that has some REAL value)–than waste my time with the ridiculous & absurd humor (if you can call it that) of SNL.
