74 years old. She’s old enough to be one of those flower power fools from the late 1960s. They’re the ones responsible for creating the woke monster and now she’s soooooo scared. Most likely she was involved in in the “peace riots” against the Viet Nam War. This old lady should go back to her “feel good” medicine, LSD, and enjoy her fantasyland trip.
Now wait a minute. I’m 73 and also from that era. I did not think we should have been in Vietnam – the Vietnamese didn’t even want us there and, in the end, nobody won but so many lives were lost. But I was always for our brave men and women that had to fight in that war. They were our brave heroes. They were drafted right out of high school and I don’t even know how many of my classmates made it back home. I never went to protests, demonstrations or sit-ins. The way our soldiers were treated when they came back was unforgivable. I have always been proud of our military and still am. Jane Fonda should have been imprisoned for treason – what a disgrace she was and she still is. Many from the 60’s were like me – not everyone was like this 74 year old lunatic. Not everyone fried their brains on drugs. Just like I was not a “follower” in the 60’s, I’m also not a follower now. I’m MAGA because I’m a proud American who’s proud of our great President Trump not because someone told me to be. I’m proud of being a part of making America great again. I don’t think you meant to stereotype everyone from the 60’s. There’s plenty of people like her but there’s also plenty of people that are not. Have a great day, fellow MAGA patriot.

Leslie, I don’t blame you for defending yourself and I don’t want you to think that I’ve lumped everyone from the 1960s to early 1970s into one group. The flower power fools made a lot of noise and they were stupid hypocrites. Rioting against the war in the name of peace, what a joke. But that bunch only represented maybe 1/4, at best, of the under 30 crowd at that time. And it’s a fact that 2/3 of the people in the military at that time were volunteers. And there were some draftees that made a career out of the military. I agree that the war was a mistake, but that mistake was the fault of LBJ. It makes no sense to send our military to fight a war but tell them they are NOT allowed to win that war. And spoiled rotten stupid little snots like Jane Fonda fueled the flames of anti war riots. If it wasn’t for Jane’s dad, she would’ve never made it in Hollywood. If you can get a transcript or the video of MacArthur’s final speech to congress, you’ll find he was proven right when he said if communism left unchecked it will spread and threaten other sectors. After MacArthur retired communism did spread and we have 2 communist countries in our own hemisphere and now the woke Marxist have taken over the democrat party and they want THIS country to be communist. The democrat party began to slowly morph into the American Communist party on Nov. 23, 1963, the day LBJ became president.
Anyone feeling afraid to this extent is telling the world they don’t have a relationship with God. Newsflash–your fear has NOTHING to do with the politics going on around you. There IS evil in this world. It’s been that way for a long time. I don’t like it, but I know I have a God that has everything lined up the way He’s going to use it for my good. I have absolutely nothing to fear. God’s got this.

Does anyone remember LBJ also had Social security funds put in the general fund when before then it was only to be used for the payments to SS recipients our lives are much poorer because of that
THANK YOU DUMOCRATS!!!!!!!!!!!
Well…some heavy-duty comments here, for sure. I agree with virtually everything that you say, now, wild dog. But, 73, now, was 18 in 1970, and went to Penn to study EE, graduated BSEE in ’75, and worked in mostly the defense industry, for decades afterwards. However, when I was young, was good in high school, but went nuts in college, on my own, away from home, partying all the time–and many of my hs buddies did the same at other colleges. Didn’t go to any anti-war demos (except to one in ’74, when war was almost over, chasing after some girl who was also attending, just to see her, probably last demo of that useless org, anyway!) But I, like most of my friends here in suburban Jersey, thought that the war was a waste. I thought that the Vietnamese didn’t want us, or that they didn’t want us there. JFK, not LBJ, was the one who got us into that war. Eisenhower was smart enough not to commit us to every dinky little conflict around the world, after knocking the hell out of the commies in Korea (that Dem Truman got us into), then left the Koreans with heavy weapons, US troops, and money for defense budget. But lib media destroyed Nixon, politically, and when lib Dems took over Congress–all funding was cut to S. Vietnam, for defense. So N. Vietnamese commies, well-funded by Soviets and loaded with heavy weapons, easily overran helpless S. Vietnamese military, and bringing another country (actually several, counting Laos & Cambodia) into the worldwide pantheon of murderous, evil, horrible communism. And, afterwards, upwards of 2 million Vietnamese fled the horrors of random executions and concentration camps and destroyed religion and utter poverty and lying propaganda, etc, risking their lives in open boats in the Pacific Ocean to get to somewhere where they could earn a profit, and keep it, and live in freedom, with rights and liberties, like us. So, nowadays I believe that they wanted us to help defend them, from these horrors, and I believe that our troops had won that war–only for the peace to be given away–by commie-loving Dems and lying lib media, like Wapo–because they really suffered horribly afterwards–and lib media is STILL lying about Repub leaders, 50 years later!!! I was young, I was taken in by my elite suburbanite friends–but not no more!!! By 2009, I could clearly see how my home state had been economically DESTROYED, by lib policies, actions and leaders, and by 2020, I could see how lib media was so blatantly LYING, too! I should have stood up, then–and supported Nixon. But I am standing up now, and fully supporting Trump, and all other conservatives. To hell with liberals and commie-supporters!!!
Only thing you failed to mention, Mike. It’s true JFK did send military hardware to South Viet Nam and sent advisors to train the ARVN, plus provided air support for ARVN. Even though JFK approved of the ARVN changing the political leader of South Viet Nam in 1963, it was with the understanding that he and his wife would not be harmed and would be exiled to the United States. But as that leader and his wife were being taken to the airplane that was going to fly them to the USA in the back of an APC, they were murdered by ARVN. JFK was furious and was threatening to cut aid to South Viet Nam, but 3 weeks later JFK was shot. Notice in the videos that the shooting took place in Texas and LBJ was ducking before the shooting started and there was more than one shot fired at JFK. And it was LBJ who ROBBED the Social Security funds to pay for HIS war and his stupid great society, which destroyed the black family unit.
And one more thing (as if I’m not verbose enough…ha ha ha), Leslie–there WAS a winner in that war–it just wasn’t US. It was our mortal enemies, the communists, who won that war–and subjected that poor country to tyranny, poverty, and terror, for decades afterwards (still under lying, brutal govt). It was a GOOD thing, however, that we had a REAL hero arise, in the 80’s–and CLOBBER them, politically and economically, speaking–so bad–that the Soviet Union FELL APART–and many formerly OPPRESSED countries of Eastern Europe were able to ESCAPE from the horrors of communism, like Poland, Ukraine, East Germany, Czechoslovakia (now Czech Republic and Slovakia), Hungary, and other countries who were able to get Red Army boots OFF of their neck! That was Ronald Reagan, our first great modern conservative HERO, after whom DJT has modeled his presidency. So, yes, they got Vietnam, but we got a good part of Eastern Europe back out of the Iron Curtain, and the Warsaw Pact. Ronnie could see, clearly, how BAD communism IS, and we should all see the same, TODAY!!!
