Quick story about Bob Dole, when I was at the university I was able to see him speak. I was running late so I tried to politely sneak in at the last minute. There was a man standing at the door seating people. He was tall and I noticed he had a bad arm – it was Bob Dole! He was not glad-handing, he was acting like a volunteer. He was the most warm, sincere, and welcoming politician I ever encountered, he had a genuine love for this country and all the people in it. BTW, the school newspaper spun a bunch of lies about everything he said. Just sayin…
