I am definitely not a Chip or Computer Wiz. However I’m smart enough to understand how they can add a simple impossible to see or find Bug within the chip seeing you need a super microscope to even see everything placed onto a chip by other Computer controlled devices. Technology continues to advance almost at light speed as something brand new built today is obsolete in days or weeks. I wouldn’t trust Chips that could potentially be controlled by a Foreign Adversary or possible enemy! The United States of America should be making our own Chips which will never be shared with a foreign company or country. Same as certain Military Weapons Systems are illegal to be sent or borrowed by a foreign government even if they are friendly because those Weapons Systems can be captured or the information on how they are built and used can be sold or in the events of War Captured and reversed engineered like the Soviets did with our Bombers during WWII. Like the M1 Tanks being sent to Ukraine are not our Top of the Line with all our Secret Technology stuffed in the Hull and Turret. The very 1st shipment had the M60A3 Fire Control Systems not the very latest Lazer Rangefinder, Ballistic Computer or any of the latest and greatest Gunners Sughts which were again the same from the M60A3. We need to do a much better job of keeping our Secrets Secret from the rest of the World especially those countries wishing to do us harm
I just heard about this recently either in an email article or on TV news so I just looked up “what was discovered in the Carolinas that we could make our own chips”. Below are just two of what popped up. Would this make us more independent or are their other elements that we still would have to rely on others? I’m not very tech savvy.

Grammy Leslie, I agree. Do not let China buy any more land. This should never have been allowed in the first place. Meanwhile, Trump caved to Xi Jinping and agreed to “pause” weapons shipments to Taiwan. This is crazy. What will we do if China actually does invade Taiwan?
