That she accepted the role of Jesus will probably not play out well for her on judgment day. I’m not judging–just saying I have no intention of trying to stand in for her. Nope, wouldn’t want to be in her shoes. The role IS written for a tenor with an extremely high range, and most of the time the Jesus character is screeching out the tessitura. BUT it doesn’t require the role to be played by a female–particularly one whose hair is absent (how does ANYONE justify THAT?!).
