Well, the reaction that “I can protect myself” is great but misses the solution to this acceleration of violence against children, teens, old people and those who don’t have concealed carry. New Mexico’s constitution allows open carry, but the cops will do everything possible to take your firearm and prevent you from effecting self defense. You have to have been a long time police officer to even apply for concealed carry in CA. The problem is that those destroying the American Society are clever, and they OWN young people. Decades of violent computer games. Decades of violent films. Paying for criminals and their crimes and doing the ground work to make it possible, eg. making the bombs for those willing to throw them. And, how clever to give the criminal cartels a free pass into and around America, encouraging billions of dollars of trafficking. Yes, America is essentially a criminal world today.
With few exceptions those that are Trained in the use and application of violence receive training in prudent and practical RESTRAINT with that training. Discipline is rightly expected from military, Police, and even the vast majority of private citizens that support the 2nd amendment.
