Why doesn’t the fire dept do routine checks on hydrants? Wouldn’t they check hydrants at least once/week or once/month. Why would the fire dept. as she suggests fail to check to see that there is water, even if they aren’t responsible for ensuring a supply of water. Her reluctance to take any responsibility for ascertaining the existence of water and the resilience of the hydrants shows ignorance and incompetency. Yes, you check and if no water, then you report that in a way to all involved so that your report is a matter of public record. Not asking her to go to reservoirs, and the water dept and city manager/mayor should be going to reservoirs because they are supposed to ensure that Los Angeles can fully operate. How do you accept your paycheck yet do nothing?

I think we all better wise up and start realizing what can happen to any of us! How do we really know that things are being taken care of by officials in our towns, counties or states for safety. People can become very lax, staying or getting reelected repeatedly in office
