K. Harris lied a lot. She was not born in Oakland, nor was she ever bussed to school. She lived on Milvia Street in Berkeley and walked to a lovely small elementary school a few blocks away where she might have said the pledge of allegiance. But, before the end of her first grade, her mother moved her and her sister to the midwest, to a university medical school/Big Pharm lab, and then a few years later to Ontario, Canada, where she definitely never said the Pledge of Allegiance. She fell in love with the Black experience/mindset while in Canada due to her babysitter’s influence, and she attended Howard University. She dated blacks, and sex and cannabis defined her life. K.
