You have to realize that Carter was the 3rd worst president this country ever had. Oboob and shitpants Joe are worse. I never liked Jimmy and he almost brought this country into another Great Depression like the one from the 1930s. Plus, we also had a very demoralized military when he was president. The fact that he sent the Marines on a hostage rescue mission with little training and old wore out helicopters from the Viet Nam War makes him responsible for those Marines getting killed, let alone the failure of the mission which was also his fault.

Interesting side note; Jimmy Carter was the first US President to be born in a hospital.
Since Jimmy was a good ole boy from Georgia, and given the fact it was in 1924, I’m sure it was a “whites only” hospital. When Jimmy was running for re-election in 1980 at his home state, the KKK has a rally at his event.

You’re wrong to state that these words mean nothing – they’re extremely important as an indication that those saying them recognize the rules of common decency, and that there is at least some degree of civility left in society, however rare. I can only imagine the tantrum you’d be throwing if Trump took Carter’s death as an opportunity to trash him. That’s the problem with TDS – there’s absolutely nothing Trump can do that pleases you, and that’s on YOU, not him. Jimmy Carter engineered the alleged oil embargo in the early 70s. The buoy tender I was serving had to go out many times to increase the area for the full oil tankers carrying crude to anchor while they awaited permission to offload their cargo. Carter was responsible for the price hikes on gas and the long lines at the gas pumps. May he rot in hell.
Jimmy also stopped all construction of oil refineries in the US and now the refining capacity is strained to the breaking point. If this country had more refineries and would drill for our OWN oil, gas would be 25 cents per gallon, diesel would be 15 cents per gallon.
