One would think that these same individuals on their moral high ground would be appalled at how the funds were exploited and not used for the mission’s intended purpose.
I do not dismiss the point that any legitimate foreign entities (organizations, countries) receiving USAID assistance may be negatively affected by this (USAID) shutdown (mainly done due to a substantial amount of illegitimate activity)…BUT it should be made clear that those USAID funds were GIFTS and NOT obligatory…any (legitimate entities) receiving USAID funds – and any person discussing those matters – should express GRATITUDE for US assistance, NOT an attitude of entitlement…
