Is it really so hard to see the Red Herring here? It doesn’t matter if they were given $750 or 750 million, no one is denying that there is no water (money won’t help), no food(no where to buy more), no housing, it’s not just you, but the entire neighborhood, the one next to that, the one next to that…we’re taking about you and every neighbor within walking distance. Walking is the only mode of transportation, because,?you have $750 for gas, but no car to put it in, and no gas stations to buy any. Even if they still exist, there are either no roads, or they’re covered in trash, pieces of family homes, downed power lines, flooded, and/or trees.
What people seem to have missed here, this is not a recovery operation, after all this time, we are still in search and rescue mode, which emphasizes the incompetence. This means what help can be provided, can’t help the now homeless hungry, they are hunting for survivors. People are still trapped and isolated, and the locals are overwhelmed.Now another major storm in forming which will halt was little is getting done.
Money is important, but not as important as food, water, tents, protection from the elements. You can’t eat money, and it won’t feed of keep your family dry. People this isn’t a little damage, the is devastation, like most have never seen, and more is on its way.
